Union Township concert series announced

The Union Township Board of Trustees has announced its 2011 Summer Concert Series.

The Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra will be back for two concerts, one of them with the Cincinnati Brass Band. Another orchestra, the Sycamore Community Band, will also be performing.

Throughout the season, many rock “n roll, jazz and Bluegrass bands will be back, including DV8, After Midnight, Leroy Ellington and The E-Funk Band, and Jake Speed & The Freddies.

The season will kick off with children’s entertainer, Zak Morgan, for a very special concert Thursday, April 21 (the kiddies will be off school for Easter, so this is an ideal time to introduce them to this musical wordsmith!), and end with the hugely popular Robin Lacy and De Zydeco on Sept. 24.

Look for more information in the spring Talk of The Township newsletter and in the paper before each concert.

All concerts are held at the Union Township Amphitheatre, in back of the Civic Center.

The concerts are free and open to the public.
