Grant students recognized for attendance

Grant Career Center recently held the First Quarter Attendance and Awards Assembly where students were recognized for achievements during the first quarter.

Students received Perfect Attendance Awards and Honor Roll Certificates for their efforts. The Top Performers in each program were also announced for the first quarter.

Instructors select Top Performers each quarter by using varying objectives ranging from grades, business and industry readiness, special projects, or improvements.

Students are recognized for their efforts with a special certificate for their career passport, and a gift card or payment of fees.

Students announced as Top Performers for the First Quarter include: Allied Health Science, Kayla Dryden and Krista Sells; Auto Collision, Justin Sizemore, Darrell Bates, Dustin Lambert and Tanner May; Automotive Service Technology, Dakota Gregory-Edgington, Josh Coulter, Marlanna Tackett and Alex Forsee; Business and Finance, Jake Bishop, Mason Lynn, Brandon Bishop and Eli Wright; Carpentry, Devin Trammell, Eric Sodders, Cody Morehouse and Jared Pack; Cooperative Education, Marshall Godwin and Brittney Parker; Cosmetology, Brittney Taylor and Stacy Faddis; Culinary Careers, Larry Reffit, Nikki Guinn, Mikey Wilhoit and Katie Kroeger; Engineering Design, Cyra Jones and Jesse Rust; Horticulture, Ashley Perry, Angel Belt, Anita Appelmann and Nicole Fannin; Medical Information Tech, Amber Binning, Brittany Crumpton, Nikki Houlihan and Jaimie Flarida;

Metal Fabrication, Blake Hurtt, Jordan Smith, Mike Humedan and Andy Collopy; The Teacher Academy, Tess Jenike and Miles Derkson.

As the Second Quarter begins, program instructors are setting new goals for the students to work toward in hopes of becoming the next Top Performer.
