Two high school students, one each from Batavia High School and Clermont Northeastern High School (CNE) are honored at the first meeting of each month during the school year. These students live their lives in a manner that exemplifies the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self”. Victor Glasgo was honored as the club’s Clermont Northeastern High School “Student of the Month” for October 2010.
Glasgo is being recognized for his service in the school community and the greater Clermont county community.
“Victor is an example of CNE’s brightest and best who are committed to their family, school, and community, as demonstrated by their commitment and dedication to excellence,” CNE principal Matt Early said.
Victor has also played roles in the school's 2007, 2008 and 2009 musical productions "The Music Man," "Grease" and "HONK."
Victor also is a member of the school's Boys Varsity Tennis team and Captain of the Academic Quiz Team. Victor is enrolled in all of the Advanced Placement classes that CNE offers and is currently ranked third in his class.
In addition to his school activities, Glasgo has served his community through volunteer work with the Lion Club and working concessions at the annual Pumpkin Run Antique Car Show. He has also served as a Student Mentor for incoming freshman and volunteered as a teacher aide in the classroom.
