Veterans recognized at Clermont County Fair
The salute to veterans at the Clermont County Fair Thursday night included a unique event. More than 40 military recruits from Clermont County took their oath of service as administered by state Representative and Ret. Marine Colonel Danny Bubp. “There have been 55 American men and women killed in Afghanistan and Iraq this month, including Spc. Dohrenwend and Spc. Bauer,” Bubp said.
Nice weather and new events drew crowds to the Clermont County fair
The 161st Clermont County Fair came to a close Saturday after a week of nearly ideal weather which brought a large crowd to Owensville. “Except for the first couple of hot days it was great,” Fair Board President Bill Sharber said. “We had no rain, which is what has hurt us in the past. Things went pretty smooth. We want to thank everybody for coming out.”
The 2010 Clermont County Fair went well
The fair is over and it was a good one. The three Grange booths were put in on Saturday morning.
