Pierce Township will hold its annual Independence Day Children’s Parade at the Township Park on Locust Corner Road beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing through 12 p.m. Saturday, July 3. The activities include a salute to veterans with a special remembrance for SSGT Chuck Kiser. The event features free hot dogs, cake, and soft drinks, and face painting.

The Village of New Richmond will kick off its weekend with the Banner Classic and Cruise-in from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 3 at the intersection of Front Street, George Street, and Western Avenue.

The celebration continues farther east on state Route 52 when the Village of Moscow sets off its fireworks Saturday, July 3 at dark. A great place to see the grand display is from the grassy field just west of the village across S.R. 52 from the firehouse. Moscow will not be hosting food vendors or live music this year.

Sunday afternoon New Richmond’s Fourth of July celebration kicks into high gear when carnival rides and food vendors open and activities begin at 11 a.m. Front Street and Susanna Way will be closed throughout the day and the parade will kickoff at 2 p.m. Front St. and Susanna Way will also make the perfect spot to view the fireworks display at dark.
