For six weeks this summer, women will be gathering at Miami Valley Christian Academy in Newtown for a time of fellowship, inspiration, and encouragement. Outpost Ministry will be meeting Thursday mornings at 9:30-11:30 a.m. June 10, 17, and July 1, 8, 15, 22.

What is Outpost? It is an evangelistic outreach which provide a fun, no-threatening, non-denominational atmosphere in which to reach women for Christ.

It appeals to women of all ages. Outpost began in 1988 by Pat Jones of Indian Hill who first had this vision to bring the Gospel message to her friends and neighbors.

Pat has since moved to Atlanta, but her ministry continues and has even seen the birth of a second group in Northern Kentucky. For information on Outpost, call Shari Wilkerson, (513) 528-1952.

Each of the six gatherings will start with an inspirational song and scripture reading. A special guest speaker will then weave her testimony into a message of what Christ has done in her life. Babysitting is available for potty trained preschoolers through age 10. For babysitting information, call Despina Seward, (513) 732-9274.

True Christianity is a call to relationships - first to God and then to others. So many women are looking for authentic relationships, and this is a place where that can take place. They can come, enjoy a cup of coffee with refreshments and find hope through the stories of women who have struggles with some of the same issues they live with. But most importantly, they learn of the hope that only exists in a true relationship with Jesus Christ.
