Floyd Herman Ertel, 100, of Winchester, formerly of Milford, died Monday, June 7, 2010 in Seaman.

He was a lab technician for Procter and Gamble and a member of the Milford Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM.

Ertel was preceded in death by his son James Robert Ertel and brothers William and Henry Ertel.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years Bernice Turner, children Floyd “Raymond” (C. Paulline) Ertel, and Gary Lee (Joyce Ann) Ertel, grandchildren George Ertel, Kimberly (Travis) Miller, Teresa (Rodney) Harper, Scott (Stephanie) Ertel, Darrell (Natasha Brodes) Ertel, and Kelly (Rob) Bynum, step-grandchildren Don and David Potts, seven great grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and his sister Mildred Mederios.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Milford United Methodist Church. Visitation was held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, Milford. Interment Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford.
