Hugh C. Cahall, 86, of Mt. Orab, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 in Batavia. He was born Aug. 27, 1923 in Brown County.

Cahall served served in the Navy during World War II and was the founder of Cahall Family Businesses. He was a charter member of the Mt. Orab Lions Club and Mt. Orab’s Wilson Stroufe VFW 9772. He was also a member of F&AM New Harmony 435, O.E.S. #514 and Gideons International. He had a kind and gracious heart that touched so many. The love and care he gave to those will live on and on.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Grace Cahall (nee. White), son Brice Cahall, and sister Mary Donely, and two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Cahall, of Mt. Orab, children Charline Iams, of Palm Harbor, Florida, Grant (Holly) Cahall, of Mt. Orab, and Perry C. Cahall, of Mt. Orab, grandchildren Leanne, Shane, Brian, Dylan, Benjamin, Alex, Ryan, and Kara, great grandchildren Shana and Jessica, and by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 13, 2010 at Mt. Orab United Methodist Church. Interment Mt. Orab Cemetery, Green Township. Megie Funeral Home is serving the family.
