Amelia, Clermont Northeastern, Felicity, Glen Este, and Williamburg have proven the power of Clermont County teams in girls fast pitch softball as each owns a sectional championship. Batavia, Milford, and New Richmond all came very close to sectional crowns of their own.
Division I
Milford took the measure of Turpin 3-0 in a battle between teams of the Fort Ancient Valley Conference. Sarah Alley tossed the win striking out seven Spartans. At the plate she helped her own cause with two hits and Brittany Norman smashed a home run and had two runs batted in (RBI).
The E-Gals lost their sectional championship game to perennial champion Fairfield 1-0. Alley struck out eight of the Indians.
