Robert H. “Wink” Barton, 79, of Sabina, passed away on Wednesday May 5, 2010 in Clinton Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 7, 1931 in Withamsville.
He was a life long farmer and Guernsey breeder for many years. He was a graduate of Amelia High School and a member of Sabina Church of Christ. He loved watching his grandchildren and many others participating in sports and other activities. He could always be found at mid court on the first row at every basketball game.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sigmund and Letha Hultz Barton and brother Floyd Barton.
Barton is survived by his wife Elaine Boles Barton whom he married December 1, 1951, his children Doug (Terri) Barton, Melanie (Al) Chance of Sabina and Jan (Steve) Parker of Centerville, grandchildren Trisha (Josh) Hughes, Robb (Emily) Barton, Julie (Nathan) Louiso, Kevin and Neal Chance, Ashley, Katie and Emily Parker and great grandchildren Madilyn, Griffin and Carliann Hughes, and Taylor and Carson Barton, and by his sidekick “Jingles”.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Littleton Funeral Home. Internment Sabina Cemetery.
