Residents in Bethel gathered together to clean Burke Park and the village in anticipation of the Bethel Arts and Music Festival May 8.

The village employees have also been working hard to clean the curbs and other areas in anticipation of the event.

About 60 Amelia residents gathered more 100 bags of garbage and more than filled the back of a village pickup truck with tires, discarded fencing, and other items.

Volunteers were treated to a lunch of hotdogs to thank them for their efforts.

On Sunday, residents in New Richmond, Owensville, Union Township, Williamsburg, and Withamsville joined in the fun.

New Richmond's event included an Earth Day celebration in Gauche Park hosted by Crystal Clear Science, Clermont 20/20, and the Village. The village planted a tree in Gauche Park as part of the event.
