Roland “Eugene” King, 62, of New Richmond, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at his residence. He was born December 12, 1947.

He was preceded in death by his mother & father, Elmer & Hazel King both of Felicity, and his second wife Janie (DeLeon) King of New Richmond.

He is survived by one daughter Connie (King) Smith, one son Shawn King, both of Higginsport, older brother Eddie King of Georgetown, a younger sister Sue Sowers of Hamersville, six grandchildren, Michael, Alex & Emily King, Andrew, Mallory & Kaitlyn Smith.

A memorial service was held Friday, March 26, 2010, at the Ripley Nazarene Church conducted by Pastor Clark Castle.

Memorial donations in memory of Eugene may be given to the Joseph House, 513-241-2965. Joseph House’s mission is to meet the needs of the homeless veterans of our community. Services are available to men and women. Joseph House provides outreach to homeless veterans through its “Landing Zone” at 1526 Republic Street, and through collaboration with other agencies in the local HUD Continuum of Care. The Joseph House campus has the capacity to provide housing for up to 100 veterans.
