During 2009 IPM served more than 11,000 people at their Choice Pantries located in Newtown and Batavia, Ohio.

Soup Bowl Celebration attendees will sample soups from local restaurants including Hugo's, Main Street Café, Lobsta Bakes, Hyde Park Fish Market, Murphin Ridge Inn, Café Mediterranean, National Exemplar, Hitching Post, Paradiso, and Clough Crossings.

Celebrities including Thane Maynard, Director of the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden and former Bengal Brad Cousino will be at the event to serve the soups. Desserts and breads will also be served.

A unique feature of this event is that every attendee will take home a soup bowl that has been hand-painted by a local artist. Star Glazers, a ceramic studio in Anderson Twp., is coordinating the soup bowl painting by working with area artists, art students, and celebrities. Some of the bowls will also be part of the silent auction. Other items featured in the auction include a Bichon Frise puppy, several sports items, fine art donated by such artists as Karen Kelly, Christopher Brian, Donna Talerico and E. O'Neil, a hot air balloon ride and a flying lesson. Advance reservations are required by April 16. The event cost is $35 per person or $265 for a table of eight.
