Clermont Animal Shelter will hold an Adopt-a-Thon May 1
If you’re thinking of adopting a dog or cat, you will definitely want to visit the Clermont County Animal Shelter Saturday, May 1 for the Clermont County Humane Society’s Annual Adopt-a-thon and Open House.
No mold found at New Richmond High
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health did not find any evidence of active water leaks or evidence of mold in the choral room or adjacent band room at New Richmond High School during an inspection March 22.
Milford, Batavia, and Bethel-Tate lead their respective conferences in tennis action
Milford, Batavia, and Bethel-Tate are serving themselves the most success in Clermont County high school varsity tennis competition. Glen Este is winning the majority of its contests and Amelia and New Richmond have registered victories, recently. The Eagles shut out New Richmond 5-0 in a non-conference clash.
Wins accumulating for Glen Este, CNE, Felicity, Milford, and Williamsburg softball
Most of Clermont County’s high school varsity fast pitch softball teams are experiencing a lot of success. In most recent action, Glen Este, Clermont Northeastern, Felicity, Milford, and Williamsburg have won each outing. The Trojans got by East Central (Ind.) 2-1 behind Kelley Benhase’s eight-strikeout performance. Kierstin Gregory’s two hits led the GE offense.
Holy Cross College’s Dominic Randolph of Amelia signs with NFL’s New York Giants
Dominic Randolph, College of the Holy Cross quarterback, has signed with the New York Giants as a free agent following this year’s National Football League (NFL) draft. Randolph was invited to visit the Giants on April 11 and 12 after his impressive performance at Boston College’s Pro Day (March 11). The Giant’s public relations departments described his Pro Day as “a solid performance throwing the ball.”
Bethel-Tate, Northeastern, and Goshen recent big winners on county baseball diamonds
Bethel -Tate, Clermont Northeastern, and Goshen have been undefeated in recent Clermont County high school baseball battles. Each is a member of the American Division of the Southern Buckeye Conference. The Fighting Tigers won a Southern Buckeye Conference non-division game over Batavia 7-2.

Angelo Antonio Bianchi, 78, of Mt. Washington died Sunday, April 25. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Moore Family Funeral Home 6708 Main St. Newtown where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Joan M. Ruhe (nee Geise), 77, of Loveland died Sunday, April 25. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Milford.

Paul A. “Tack” Tackett, 62, of Bethel, died Monday April 5. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Bethel.

Doris C. Ellis (nee Combs), of Bethel, died Wednesday, April 21. Funeral services were held Monday, April 26, 2010 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Bethel.
