The Tri-State Warbird Museum is working hard to promote the teaching of history in schools. Specifically, the museum offers free field trips to students in grades seven through 12.

The museum, located at the Clermont County Airport, has nine World War II era planes, six of which fly and three of which are being restored to fly, on display along with many items associated with aviation. What makes the museum, which was started in 2005 by David O’Malley, unique is that patrons can walk right up to the aircraft and examine them close up.

The field trip tour also includes a talk with a local World War II aviation veteran and a high quality educational video.
