Patchell Day proclaimed in Milford as long-time postal worker retires
Postman Kenny Patchell delivered the mail to the east side of Milford for the last time Saturday, Jan. 30. Patchell, who has delivered the mail on the same route for 32 years, retired on Jan. 30. Milford Mayor Amy Brewer was at the U.S. Post Office at Castleberry Court on Tuesday, Feb. 2 to read a proclamation.
Kitchen of Hope serves free meals
The current economic situation is creating opportunities for some people to fulfill a need. Brenda Braden, of Bethel, says that the Lord kept speaking to her heart to feed his people. Braden, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, said the first thing she did was create a plan of action and present it to Pastor Bill Bowdle.

Last week we got busy and put new washers on the bathtub and the sink in the bathroom. In the bath tub, when the water was turned off after a shower, it would drip, so we got the can of WD 40 and after the valves were taken out and new washers put on, we sprayed the threads good.
