Rep. Uecker receives the ‘watchdog’ award

The United Conservatives of Ohio announced that Representative Joe Uecker of the Ohio House of Representatives 66th District was awarded the Watchdog of the Treasury Award for the 127th General Assembly.

This award acknowledges Representative Uecker for recognizing the Ohio taxpayer behind every dollar of state expenditures and understanding the value of conservative fiscal and public policy.

According to the United Conservatives of Ohio’s ideals, a healthier Ohio would surely exist if more legislators abided by their commitments to free enterprise, low taxes, greater efficiency in government and accountability to the taxpayers.

In response to receiving this award Uecker stated, "It is a great honor to be recognized as a Watchdog of the Treasury. Being a responsible steward of Ohio taxpayers' hard earned money is something I take seriously. When families are tightening their belts; the government should have to as well."

Representative Uecker will be presented with the coveted "Watchdog" award at a breakfast with other award winners at the Columbus Capital Club later this month.
