The snow is flying, the fire is dying, but we will weather the storm. What do we care if icicles form? Cabin Fever will keep us warm!
This year’s Cabin Fever Arts Festival will feature more than 41 artisans. In addition to returning guild members and guests, several new faces will share their skills and products:
• Pike County Farm, LLC: woodland products, woodcraft and photography, picture frames, cutting boards, peg boards
Local quilters display quilting techniques at last year
Weavefemina: hand woven items
Sue's Wearable Art: appliquéd clothing
Strands of Grace: baskets, beaded jewelry, crochet and knitted items
Mill Branch Soap: natural olive oil soaps and lotions, cold process liquid soap
The Wooden Gift Shop: wood scroll saw items, flowers, boxes, bookmarks, bears, ornaments and key chains
Jaybird Farms: dried florals, homemade jams and jellies, herbal crafts, fudge
Dave's Welding: barn stars and wrought iron items
Gabby's Grace: tote bags, purses, angels
Eyes of Wonder Cards: photo greeting cards
Bowman Studio: acrylic paintings of animals, portraits, Totem painting, illustrator
Sunflower Sundries Farm: organic soap, jams, mustard, corn meal
Stitches will fly at Cabin Fever as the Highland County Quilt Clubs enjoy a day of fellowship while quilting and sharing ideas. Their beautiful products will be on display in the Learning Center.
In addition, the U.S. Grant Homestead Association will present a Civil War Display. Watch demos and enjoy the area high school student art show.
Listen to live music while enjoying a delicious lunch. Workshops will be offered in heirloom eggs, creating a scented liquid soap, sleeping mice, mountain dulcimer and silver clay jewelry.
Call to pre-register for workshops at (937) 587-2394.
