Grant Career Center holds awards assembly

Grant Career Center recently held the Second Quarter Attendance and Awards Assembly where students were recognized for achievements during the second quarter.
Students received Perfect Attendance Awards and Honor Roll Certificates for their efforts. The Top Performers in each program were also announced for the second quarter.
Instructors select Top Performers each quarter by using varying objectives ranging from grades, business and industry readiness, special projects, or improvements.
Students announced as Top Performers for the Second Quarter include: Allied Health Science, Chelsea Pennington and Crystal Rayburn; Auto Collision, Steven Day, Max Marlow, Willy Boys and Branden Stacy; Automotive Service Technology, Marlanna Tackett, William Rogers, Dustin Coyne and Jacob Bunch; Business and Finance, April Ross, Kim Philhower and Megan Hicks;
Carpenty, Cody Morehouse, Kim Workman, Brian Murphy, Randall Cloum and Nick Moore; Cooperative Education, David Bowman and Michael Crowe; Cosmetology, Racheal Gaghan and Christina Lasley; Culinary Careers, Angela McNamara, Ryan Pirrello, Charles Hance and Jenay Frederick; Engineering Design, Jacob McKinney; Horticulture, Anita Appelmann and Heather Weaver; Medical Information Tech, Jessica Foley, Lindsey Shelton, Trisha Casnellie and Kelsey Carter; Metal Fabrication, Mike Humedan, Zach Neal, Jerrid Lee and Matt Warren; The Teacher Academy, Morgan Gill and Jon Wilson.
As the Third Quarter begins, program instructors are setting new goals for the students to work toward in hopes of becoming the next Top Performer.
