Charges filed against four suspects in graffiti case

A Batavia police officer discovered four men walking along the railroad tracks off Roudebush Lane in Batavia Township approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19.

He noted that they were carrying several cans of spray paint and had bags with paint spray nozzles.

It was determined that they had been painting graffiti in the area.

A Clermont County sheriff’s deputy responded to the scene and took the four subjects into custody.

Bradley Haas, 18, of Amelia was charged with under age consumption of alcohol, a first degree misdemeanor which could result in possible jail time of six months and a $1,000 fine and criminal mischief, a third degree misdemeanor which could result in 60 days jail time plus a $250 fine.

Corie Hess, 19, of Amelia, was charged with criminal mischief, a third degree misdemeanor which could result in 60 days jail time plus a $250 fine.

Mitchell Stewart, 18, of Cincinnati, was charged with criminal mischief, a third degree misdemeanor which could result in 60 days jail time plus a $250 fine.

Kevin Svennson, 18, of Amelia, was charged with criminal mischief, a third degree misdemeanor which could result in 60 days jail time plus a $250 fine.
