James Daley Jr., 81, of of Bethel, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010. He was born Jan. 12, 1929 the son of James Sr. and Erma Sargent Daley.

Mr. Daley served in the U. S. Marine Corps for four years during the Korean War. He worked for Cincinnati Bell for 40 years. He was active in his community working with Habitat for Humanity. He was a member of Spring Grove United Methodist Church, the Bethel and New Richmond Masonic Lodges and Knights of Pythias.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Frazee Daley; children, Michael (Peg), Kathie (Sam) Hays and Krista (Jeff Miller) Blakely; seven grandchildren, Mackenzie (Brad), Shannon (Max) and Erin Daley, Eric and Kaley Hays, Adam and Emily (Jeff) Blakely; one brother, Raymond (Regina) and nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering is planned from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 23 at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home in Bethel followed by Masonic, Knights of Pythias and memorial services at noon.
