Terah Herman, from the Education Department at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, recently visited seventh graders at Glen Este Middle School.
Students in Mrs. Hufford’s, Mrs. Lubanski’s, and Mrs. Stevens’ language arts classes learned behind-the-scenes information before attending A Christmas Carol at Playhouse in the Park.
Students learned the roles involved in the production of the play and discussed the play’s characters to build schema prior to attending the performance.
Mrs. Stevens
It was a fun way to illustrate the importance of using careful observation to identify important details in a scene. The presentation was a lead-in to attending the play.
