Bethel-Tate, the leader of the Southern Buckeye Conference American Division boys basketball race, keeps on keeping on. The Fighting Tigers have added another three victories to its impressive total.
Bethel-Tate easily overcame visiting Clermont Northeastern 65-42 in a game of the American Division of the Southern Buckeye. The home boys were up all the way 17-13, 36-16, and 53-27.
Senior forward Louie Schaljo poured in 27 points for the winners and junior forward Tyler Bullock added 18 points more. The Rockets’ resistance was led by junior forward and center Ryan Mummert with 15 points and senior center Seth Varner with 14.
The victors featured a balanced offense attack as Schaljo and Bullock netted 15 apiece, and senior guard Billy Sipos and senior forward Spencer Sutter contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively. Leading the Lions' offense thrust was senior guard Will Shoemaker who tossed in 14 points.
Deer Park's Wildcats were Bethel-Tate's most recent victim by a 72-51 count. The visitors were on top after each stop 16-15, 39-29, and 51-39.
This time, Schaljo totalled 22 points, Sutter 17, Bullock 11 and junior guard Garrett Lang 11.
Glen Este took down Talawanda's Braves 55-50 in a Fort Ancient Valley Conference non-division contest. After a 14-all first period, GE was behind 26-18 and 39-25 after the next two breaks before dominating the fourth quarter to emerge victorious.

Milford won a Fort Ancient Valley Conference Buckeye non-division battle over the host Northwest Knights 71-66. The Clermont countians were ahead after each stanza's finish 18-17, 35-31, and 51-45.
The Eagles used balanced scoring to down their hosts. Senior forward Nick Hittner and sophomore forward Robert Overbeck netted 14 points apiece and junior guards Zach Baker and Callan Hughes both tossed in 11.
Williamsburg outlasted Felicity 67-59 in a Southern Buckeye Conference National Division encounter. The visitors were in control throughout 19-14, 38-26, and 52-43.
Junior guard Elliott Young dropped in 23 points, junior forward Matt Richardson 16, and freshman guard Kendal Young 10 for the victors and senior forward Chris Shouse shared game scoring honors with 23 points for the vanquished.
In another conference and division clash, Blanchester's Wildcats shocked 'Burg 66-42 on the conquered's court. After a 14-both first stanza, the visitors were ahead the rest of the way 27-24 and 54-38.
Junior guard and forward Kevin Keeton's 14 points paced the 'Burg offense.
In the Williamsburg Holiday Tournament, the hosts lost the opener to eventual tourney titlist Landmark Christian 65-54. The winners were in the forefront at the end of each quarter 14-11, 38-24, and 48-37.
