Pregitzer to be honored with Honorary Life Membership

Long-time Milford High School/Great Oaks marketing teacher Ed Pregitzer will be honored with Ohio DECA Honorary Life Membership Award at the student business and marketing association’s March 2010 conference.

Pregitzer, who left the classroom in June 2009 after 35 years of teaching, has been active in marketing education and the state and national DECA organizations for most of his career.

In 2009, the Milford/Great Oaks DECA Chapter was named Best in the Nation, and nine students earned honors in international competition.

His students' success at the international DECA competition was no fluke, although Pregitzer called it "the best result I have had in 29 trips to national/international DECA competition."

Students in Pregitzer's classes regularly earned state and national recognition over the past three decades.

Pregitzer is currently a Curriculum and Instruction Specialist at Great Oaks Career Campuses.
