Williamsburg, Bethel-Tate, Goshen girls are undefeated

Williamsburg is completely turning things around from recent varsity girls basketball seasons the Wildcats have endured. ‘Burg is perfect after its first two trials.

Williamsburg whipped West Union’s Dragons 66-40 in the Paint Valley Invitational. The ‘Cats controlled the contest throughout with quarter scores of 15-8, 30-17, and 48-31.

Heidi McManus’ 18 points and Tara Dennis’ 13 paced the nine girls who scored for the Blue and White.

The next victim was Blanchester's Wildcats by a 40-34 count. 'Burg trailed 10-7 and 18-13 after the first two stops, but outscored their hosts 14-4 in the third period to lead 27-22 going into the last eight minutes.

Rachel Meisberger and Dennis shared game scoring honors by each netting 11 points. This was a Southern Buckeye Conference National Division duel.

Clermont Northeastern routed Reading 61-29 on the losers' hardwood in this non-conference clash. The Rockets were in easy control after each intermission 21-3, 33-16, and 42-19.

A total of 10 of the Blue and Gold dented the scoring column paced by Jennifer Werring with 13 points, Chelsey Chesser with 11, and Shelby Moore with 10.

Goshen gained a 49-15 nullification of New Richmond in a Southern Buckeye Conference American Division drubbing. The host Warriors led all the way 8-2, 23-7, and 34-13.

Allie Jeandrevin sank 14 points and Synthia Shinkle 10 for the victors and Camie Keets led the vanquished with six.

Amelia was overcome by visiting Western Brown 61-46 at the barony. The Broncos steadily pulled away in this non-conference clash to quarter leads of 15-10, 30-24, and 45-34.

Morgan Sperry led the Blue and White in scoring by pouring in 21 points including one half court length field goal.

Batavia was mastered by Madeira 42-24 in non-league play. The host Mustangs held sway all the way 11-4, 19-9, and 30-16.

Abby Hericks was the Bulldogs' top scorer with eight points.

Felicity was overpowered by host Blanchester 64-22 in a National Division game of the Southern Buckeye Conference. The Wildcats were up throughout 19-0, 37-2, and 55-10.

The Cardinals' top scorers, Sadie Mullins and Megan Obermeyer, equally shared 14 total points.

Glen Este was sunk by Seton 49-40 in Troy. The Saints were on top at the breaks 10-6, 21-16, and 32-23.

The Trojans' scoring leader was Katie Gaskill with 11 points.

Milford Christian Academy was bitten by St. Bernard's Titans 52-36 on the Bulldogs' court. The Clermont Countians trailed their guests after each frame 15-8, 31-14, and 44-26.

Freson paced the Blue and Silver's scoring by netting 16 points.

Milford was taken by Turpin 43-37 in a Fort Ancient Valley Conference Buckeye Division game that took place in Spartanville.

In a non-league fray, the E-Gals were dropped by Indian Hill 65-30. The host Braves were on top all the way 21-8, 32-12, and 43-23.

Kelly Yee dropped in 17 points and Jo Eppers 10 for the Red and White.

New Richmond was knocked off by Ripley 56-40 in non-league action in Brown County. The Blue Jays led after each stanza 15-6, 19-14, and 37-27.
