Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Nathan Pabin has been selected 2009 Trooper of the Year at the Batavia Post.
The selection of Trooper Pabin is in recognition of outstanding service during 2009 at the Batavia Post. Fellow officers and supervisors stationed at Batavia chose Trooper Pabin based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Trooper Pabin joined the Highway Patrol in 1998 and has served at the Georgetown Post and the Batavia Post. He was born in West Virginia and then eventually moved to Ohio. He is a 1991 graduate of Union Local High School in Morristown, Ohio.
Trooper Pabin and his wife, Andrea, live in Brown County with their children; Brittany, Caleb, and Ethan.
