The 2.95 mill safety services levy in Union Township passed by a narrow margin on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Voters approved the levy with 5,789 voting for the levy and 5,517 voting against the levy. Passage of the levy will provide and maintain fire and emergency medical equipment, fire and police personnel at the current level.
The funds generated by the levy will be divided between the Union Township Fire Department and the Police Department.
