Paul Leonard Sanders, 69, of Union Township, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009.
Mr. Sanders graduated from Georgetown High School in 1959. He was an outstanding athlete while in high school. He retired in 1997 from P&G after working as a mechanic for 30 years. In 2002, he pitched in the World Horseshoe Championship in Alberta, Canada. He was also an active member of Withamsville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Leonard Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Bentley Sanders; his mother, Jessie Mae Sanders of Georgetown; one sister, Jane Stansberry of Wahlsburg; two sons, Erice Sanders of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Cary Sanders of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and one grandson, Noah Sanders.
Funeral services were held Oct. 3, at Withamsville Church of Christ.
Interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
