Amelia officials welcome a new restaurant to the village

An opening party was held at the Great Scott Diner in Amelia Monday, Sept. 28. This is the second restaurant for owners Scott Elsaesser and Laura Krauser.
The restaurant features a classic diner concept complete with a 1920s restored canary yellow roadster mounted to the exterior sign and the front end of a 1950s Studebaker in the foyer.
Guests are entertained on a 1950s Crosley Television which plays 1950s commercials and cartoons.
The restaurant also features an arcade room.
The restaurant hours are 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and 8 a.m. - midnight Friday and Saturday. Great Scott is located at 106 East Main Street in Amelia.
