Glen Este High School senior Jeremy Hoop has recently signed a letter-of-intent to attend Thomas More College, Crestview Hills, Ky., where he has set goals to continue both his academic and athletic careers.

He plans to make his major course of study in pre-medicine and he will compete in football.

At Glen Este, Hoop lettered for two of the four seasons he played football there. His senior year he was the recipient of the prestigious Guts and Glory Award presented for particularly outstanding play on the gridiron.

One of the highlight of his outstanding athletic career took place his senior year when the Purple and White defeated state playoff bound and Division II state runner-up Anderson Redskins in a Fort Ancient Valley Conference Buckeye Division battle.

“The game with Anderson came down to the last second and we beat them,” he said.

“My brother Josh was always there to push me and helped me out a lot,” said Hoop gratefully of key people in his life. “My mom and dad (Robin and Greg) were always there to push me and cheer me on…Greg Pickett is my best friend and we always supported each other.”
