An issue that was brought before Bethel Council during its meeting of July 27, was addressed by Solicitor George Leicht Monday, Aug. 10.
Jim Royce, owner of Sunrise Lake, expressed an interest in annexing his 20-acre property into the village. He told council that he has recently experienced zoning issues with the township in relation to a radio controlled dirt race track he has added to his business. Royce believes annexation will help him keep the track up and running.
Solicitor Leicht reported to council that what he perceived as 16 parcels of land would all have to be included in one parcel before the annexation could proceed. He also noted that it could cost thousands of dollars and the property would have to be surveyed.
