Jackson Township man reported missing

The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the disappearance of an elderly Jackson Township man.

Bernard Martin, 79, of 4927 Burdsall Road, was reported missing from his residence by his daughter Shawn Butts at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9.

Martin was last seen at his residence by another relative Saturday, Aug. 8 at approximately 2 p.m.

Family members say it is unusual for Martin to be out walking, however, there was a probable sighting of Martin walking west on Blue Sky Park Road from Burdsall Road around 7 p.m. Sunday. The witness was unable to provide a clothing description.

Sheriff's deputies are searching the area with canines and looking for clues to his whereabouts.

Foul play is not suspected at this time.

Martin is a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs approximately 225 lbs.. He has white hair, blue eyes, and walks with a limp. He is in good physical and mental health.
