Dan McKibben is the new head varsity boys basketball coach at Williamsburg High School.

McKibben is a 1988 graduate of Williamsburg High. He was a Southern Buckeye Conference all-star in basketball and baseball. His varsity basketball coach was present Williamsburg athletic director Jim Dyer under whom McKibben proudly points out the Wildcats won a school record 18 games his senior year.

He has been teaching social studies at his alma mater for the past nine years. He began his teaching and coaching career at Western Brown High School after graduating from Morehead (Ky.) State University where he earned his degree in social studies in secondary education. He coached the Broncos’ junior varsity and freshman basketball teams for three years.
