The University of Cincinnati Clermont College baseball team did itself and the county proud by finishing fourth in the national tournament in just the second year of the program’s existence.
The Cougars concluded the 2009 campaign with a 23-18-1 record.
“We had a good year last year and our goal at the beginning of this year was to make the national tournament. We thought if we could do that it would be huge,” said UC Clermont Cougar coach Dino Costanzo.
