The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Cincinnati has incorporated a creative way to generate much needed funds for research, support and summer camp for area children affected by neuromuscular diseases.

A Lock Up event held Wednesday, June 3, at the Eastgate Cheeseburger in Paradise raised more than $41,000 for MDA.

A total of 101 people were arrested by MDA officials, taken to the lock up location and posted bail in an effort to aid in finding the cause and cure for the 43 neuromuscular diseases served by MDA. Funds collected will help provide medical equipment, clinic visits, family support groups, wheel chairs, braces and summer camp for those served by MDA in the Cincinnati area.
