A crowd of more than 140 people assembled in the Amelia Elementary gymnasium Tuesday, April 21 for a presentation by Mayor Leroy Ellington regarding the services provided by Amelia Village.
Voters in Amelia will be going to the polls on Tuesday, May 5, to determine the fate of the village. A resolution was passed by council members to ask voters if the village should be dissolved.
“It’s not my position to tell you how to vote,” said Ellington. “It is my position to give you information to help you in making an educated vote.”
