Glen Este, Milford, Batavia, and Williamsburg have begun their respective varsity fast pitch softball seasons most successfully.

Glen Este and Milford met in a key Fort Ancient Valley Conference Buckeye Division game between unbeatens. The visiting Trojans won 1-0 in 11-innings at Tealtown Park.

The GE run was scored in the top of the 11th when junior first baseman Jensen Jeffries was batted in by Kaylin Steinmetz on a fielder’s choice. Jenson had both hits for the Trojans. Sophomore Kelley Benhase was the winning pitcher allowing just one hit and that was not until the last inning. She struck out 23 E-Gals. Unlucky losing pitcher Sarah Alley fanned 13 Glen Esteans.”
