Clermont Northeastern Middle School teachers have several new interactive teaching tools available to them after their requests were granted from the Parent Teacher Organization.

According to Principal Heather Powell, the PTO asked middle school teachers for their input regarding purchasing new technology for the students and the teachers requested Smartboards and MP3 players.

“The teachers make their requests to me for approval and those requests are presented to the PTO board. The board then decides what to purchase,” said Powell. “Our relationship with the PTO is very positive. They have purchased three Smartboards for our school and these are $3,000 items. That includes the projectors and the tools.”
