Union Township officials met in special session Wednesday, Feb. 18, to select a township administrator. After receiving 21 applications, narrowing the field to six and conducting interviews with the six, trustees Bob McGee, Timothy Donnellon, and Matthew Beamer agreed on David Duckworth to fill the position.

“It was a tough choice,” said McGee. “Mr. Duckworth has been administrator in Miami Township for a number of years and we are absolutely thrilled to death to have him on board.”

The trustees passed a resolution to hire Duckworth at a pay rate of $120,000 with a car allowance of $4,560. He will sign the contract at the trustee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 24 and will begin the job on Monday, March 9.
