Melvin Leslie Spry, 78, of Milford, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Montgomery.
He had been a district representative for the Operators Engineers Union. He was also a member of the Milford Lodge 54 F&AM and the Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bill Spry; one brother, Lawrence Spry and one sister, Ruby Tingley.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Schmidts Spry; two sons, Michael (Tammy) Spry and Bob Spry; two step-daughters, Linda Hudson and Louise Rumsey and six grandchildren, Angela, Brian, Kelly, Emily, Eric and Lee.
Funeral services were held Feb. 1 with a special service with the Milford Lodge 54 F&AM and Scottish Rite, at Evans Funeral Home, in Milford.
Interment at Arlington Memorial Gardens, in Mt. Healthy.
