A presidential inauguration is always an historic event, but the swearing-in of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States always will be especially significant for a group of area students.

A number of local students visited Washington D.C. not only for the historical inauguration, but also for a tour of the nation’s capitol.

Bethel-Tate High School sent a delegation of 42 high school seniors and chaperones to the event and Jake Hogue, a sophomore at Clermont Northeastern, also attended the inauguration.
