Clermont County teams turned in very respectable performances at the annual Charlie Moore Wrestling Invitational Tournament that took place at Reading High School.
Campbell County, Ky., won the 19-team tournament with 195.5 points; Bethel-Tate was fourth with 127.5; Clermont Northeastern was eighth, 94; Batavia was ninth, 87; and Williamsburg was 17th, 26.
Nick Simpson, Clermont Northeastern 103-pounder, and Corey Disbennett, Bethel-Tate 145-pounder, were the county’s individual weight class champions.
