Pending the results of an official recount this week, the 5.5 mill Milford Exempted School District levy has passed.

On Nov. 25, the Clermont County Board of Elections certified that the Milford school levy, which was thought to be narrowly defeated on Election Day, has now passed by a margin of only 46 votes.

With the inclusion of all provisional ballots, the final total was 11,290 votes for the tax levy, and 11,244 against. Before the more than 3,300 provisional ballots were counted, the school district’s operating expenses 5.5 mill levy had failed by the slim margin of 54 votes.
