Michelle Thomas, a Glen Este sophomore, did her school and Clermont county proud with her second place finish in the Division I girls state cross country championship run.
The 3.1-mile race took place on the Scioto Downs race track course in Columbus.
Thomas completed the course in 17-minutes, 57.02-seconds. She was less than six seconds behind the state champion.
