The local school issues on Tuesday’s ballot had mixed results.

The Bethel-Tate Local Schools proposed one percent earned income tax failed to muster a majority of votes Nov. 4.

That school issue, which would have taxed the earned income on school district residents, failed by 788 votes. Of the 4,186 votes cast, 1,699 voted in favor of the earned income tax, and 2,487 voted against it.
