Bethel police chief John Wallace has resigned effective Sept. 30.
Wallace, who has been the village police chief for the last three years, read a resignation letter to the Bethel Council at its Sept. 22 meeting.
Citing budgetary concerns, the chief said his decision to resign was made “after much thought and deliberation.”
