School board hears levy opposition
A member of Preserve Our Schools, a community group organized to oppose the Batavia Local School District’s proposed school construction project, addressed the board of education at its June 23 meeting.
YMCA has a new executive director
Deborah White has been named the new executive director of the Clermont Family YMCA. White, who was introduced to the Clermont community in a meet and greet event held at the Batavia YMCA facility June 30, was chosen from a number of interested candidates after a nation-wide search to replace former director Whit Hickman.
Neville celebrates bicentennial
The village of Neville celebrated its bicentennial with a festival June 28. Attended by approximately 1,000 people, the festival was designed not only to celebrate 200 years as a municipality, but to allow native Neville families a chance to recognize and reunite with loved ones.
Cindy Jenkins is returning to Senior Services
Seventeen years ago this week, July 1, 1991 I walked through the doors of Clermont Senior Services to assume the duties of executive director. I was new to the community, but I had known Lois Brown Dale since 1978 through my previous employment at the Council on Aging in Cincinnati.
