The Tate Monroe Water Association’s new Water Treatment, Supply, and Storage Facility project is expected to be completed by the end of September.

In the planning stages since 1994, when the land was purchased along U.S. 52 on the Ohio River, and with a 2007 construction start date, the $17.5 million association project will include a water treatment facility, a collector well, and an intermediate storage facility.

Tate Monroe Water Association General Manager Greg Stanley said that the new facilities were needed to both meet the demand of current customers and to provide an adequate water supply in order to enable continued growth in southern Clermont County.

“The new facility in conjunction with the existing facility will serve the current 9,087 taps/connections to the Association’s infrastructure which equates to a population of approximately 31,805,” Stanley said.
