The 46th annual Frontier Days in Milford was once again a great success.

Kicking off Milford’s largest annual event last weekend was the festive parade, which was sponsored this year by the Sardinia Concrete Company, and attracted close to 100 participants. The theme of this year’s parade was “Building Bridges Together.”

The Frontier Day’s parade that kicks off the four-day festival is the largest parade of of its kind in this area of the country. The parade’s grand marshall was University of Cincinnati football coach Brian Kelly and the honorary grand marshall was Corey Nickell, the young son of a Milford firefighter who has been diagnosed with cancer.

“The parade is the best part of the festival for me,” said ten-year-old Milford resident Tonya Hunter. “Especially the noisy fire trucks.”
