The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reporting that Morrow resident Thomas L. Williams may have suffered a heart attack that led him to crash his automobile in Goshen Township May 26.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol Batavia post commander Lieutenant Randy McElfresh, the car crash that claimed the life of 56-year-old Williams occurred around 9:53 p.m. on State Route 28 and Goshen Road in Goshen Township.

The preliminary investigation of the single car accident has revealed, through a couple of eye witnesses to the crash, that Williams was driving eastbound on State Rout 28 when his red 1995 Pontiac Firebird drifted off the left side of the road, striking a cement culvert and two traffic signs.

There were no visible injuries to Williams, the Goshen Township emergency medical personnel who responded to the scene reported that he was “unresponsive.”
